Don Goodman is President of IT Resumes and has assisted thousands of people with their career search.

Don started his career as a programmer/analyst for a software firm specializing in financial applications for Fortune 200 firms. He invented the first financial application with an active data dictionary and spearheaded all sales and marketing efforts to bring the product to market. As Chief Operating Officer, he took the company public and subsequently sold it a few years later to Computer Associates.

Don then pursued a career in marketing and became Chief Marketing Officer of several IT firms (including a Division of a Fortune 500 firm) specializing in Staffing, Software and Education. He assumed larger responsibilites that included managing Career Services at over 11 campuses nationwide for adults learning or enhancing their computer skills. In that capacity, he oversaw the placement of over 10,000 adult graduates per year into IT positions. He also directed nationwide teams of recruiters and staffing professionals to support the temporary and permanent placement of individuals into top companies.

Don has been a Featured Keynote Speaker at dozens of Job Fairs, Executive Conferences, and State Agency events and has been interviewed numerous times on radio and television regarding employment issues. He has also been quoted in hundreds of articles throughout the United States including Computerworld, NY Times, Washington Post, Star Ledger, InfoWorld, PC Age, Los Angeles Times, Houston Chronicle, Washington Times, Woman Today and the Wall Street Journal’s National Business Employment Weekly.

Don has interviewed hundreds of hiring executives to determine hiring trends and what they look for in a candidate. Additionally, Don has partnered with Hewitt Associates, a global consulting and outsourcing firm specializing in human resource solutions, to discuss Strategic Staffing with Fortune 500 companies.

Don is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business and Commerce as well as Stanford University’s Executive Program.
